Your mention of a coffee table book made me think that a talisman source book (perhaps a *bit* like tattoo source books?) could be a really useful resource for the world. And not without precedent in the ancient and medieval worlds...

I would so love to put together this book but wonder if there’s a way to do it without getting cursed in the process haha

Well maybe the first talisman you need is the one that protects you and that project...!

Perfect! Ooh better yet let’s make a coffee table out of bones and crystals and that will protect the reader against ALL the haunted coffee books.

I love this. As someone who operates in the liminal space, I am fascinated by these kinds of of objets. I had never thiught of sleep paralysis in this way and as something that needed warding. Fascinating!

I love the connection to thresholds and the liminal space! I had never tied those together but now I cannot unsee it. The mezuzah, salt and cinnamon, horseshoes - my threshold is forever changed!

Also - the talisman book would be absolutely wonderful! Keeping the recording of them scientific and historically accurate renders them sacred and in no way invites the energy to you personally.
